Competitions

Pre-school kids’- and pupils’ competitions:

400 m „McDonald’s“ pre-school kids’ race:
For all Volkslaufcup competitors this is a race with ranking! Please do not forget to get a chip before start! For non Volkslaufcup competitors - no timing by chip. It is allowed for the kids to be accompanied by an adult.

950 and 1,900 m „McDonald’s“ pupils’ races:
The pupils’ races for the categories M/F 9, M/F 11 (950m) as well as M/F 13 and M/F 15 (1900m) are races with scoring. The races will be carried out separately (M/F 9-11 und M/F 13-15) (selective running track).

Chip evaluation:
The pre-school kids and pupils will receive a white chip (in an envelope) which has to be fixed at the shoe as the yellow chip. These chips are free of all charges.

NO TIMING WITHOUT CHIP!
PLEASE NOTE: The white chips have to be returned immediately after the race. The organizer is liable for each chip. If one chip is not returned the participant will be detected and has to pay for the chip.

Running competitions single/group:

7 km „Steuer-Beratung Gaedke & Partner“ fun run:
This is a race with ranking.
Circuit (1 lap) with 110 meters in altitude.
The first 3 m/f finishers will receive non-cash prizes/honorary awards.

14 km „Wasser–Wärme–Luft H. Traussnigg“ run:
This is a race with ranking.
Full evaluation for all age groups according to age group classification.
Circuit (2 laps) with a length of 7km each. The difference in altitude is approx. 110 meters per lap.
Tribute to the first finisher of each group (M/F) and the first 3 finishers (non-cash prizes/honorary awards). Group classification (in 10 year steps) according to ÖLV (Austrian Athletic Federation)

21 km „Gigasport“ Half Marathon:
This is a race with ranking.
Full evaluation for all age groups according to age group classification.
Circuit (3 laps) with a length of 7km each. The difference in altitude is approx. 110 meters per lap.
Tribute to the first finisher of each group (M/F) and the first 3 finishers (non-cash prizes/honorary awards). Group classification (in 5 year steps) according to ÖLV (Austrian Athletic Federation)

7 km „Steuer-Beratung Gaedke & Partner“ group race and
14 km „Wasser- Wärme – Luft H. Traussnigg“ group race:
This is a group race for 3-7 participants who run either 7km or 14km together in one group. The arithmetic average time of all group members will be used for scoring. All group members will, however, also be included and scored in the individual results.
Tribute to the 3 fastest groups independent of who is in the group.

7 km „Therme Nova" - Nordic Walking:
This competition is intended for all Nordic Walking fans. The track length is approx. 7km and leads along gravel paths and forest tracks around the Federal Stud Piber. There is the option to choose between timing and no timing! Result list and certificate for each group (M/F) available at Pentek Timing, no tribute.

Entry

You can enter online at www.pentek-payment.at – a service by the PENTEK timing GmbH by order and for account of the organizer. PENTEK timing GmbH acts as agent and operator of the entry online services only. The payment of the entry fee can be made at the same time by credit card or by non-recurring direct debit on an Austrian or German bank account. You can have a look on the entry status at any time online.

Written entry / fax:
You can send your written entries by use of the enclosed form via fax to Pentek-Payment on the number +43 (0) 1 25 33033 8183.

The accounting is provided by Pentek-Payment - a service of the Pentek timing GmbH by order and for account of the organizer.

Fill in the form completely and sign by hand. For the participation of children the consent and signature of the legal guardian is required. Entry forms without signature will not be accepted.

Age Group Classification for 2012 acc. to ÖLV (Austrian Athletic Federation)

The ranking will take place acc. to the following age categories (men and women separately):  

Eligible

All participants also without being a member of a club of the age groups 1994 (7km fun run 1997) and older (except for pre-school kids’ and pupils’ runs), participants under 16 years only with the consent of the legal guardian (signed entry form). It is not allowed to participate on bikes, roller skates and other sports equipment. Accompanying participants who don’t participate in running or Nordic Walking competitions particularly on bikes, roller skates and other sports equipment is not allowed, too. Disregarding this instruction will lead to disqualification of the participant.

Timing

Timing: PENTEK timing with Champion-Chip

For the pupils’ runs along with the numbers white chips which have to be returned immediately after the corresponding races will be handed out.

The participants of the main run who have not got a chip yet will receive a yellow chip when the numbers are distributed by paying €33 (€30 deposit + €3 rental fee, exact amount please). The deposit will be returned when the chip is handed back after the race. Previously bought chips will not be taken back. Chips which are not returned are automatically regarded as purchased and can be used worldwide.

*** Exclusively yellow and white chips will be processed by the time measuring systems. All other and differently coloured chips cannot be processed.***

Disclaimer

The participants compete entirely at their own risk. The receipt of the number includes a binding declaration of each competitor that no health risk is involved in his/her participation. Liability of the organizer, its representatives and auxiliary persons for damage to persons, property and financial loss is excluded. This applies also for accidents, lost pieces of clothing and other objects as well as the faultless function of the timing.
If you cannot take part in the event it is not possible to withdraw from the entry. There is no right of refund of the entry fee.
The organizer is entitled to make changes to the event for whatever reason or cancel it for important reasons. In these cases there is no right of refund of the entry fee and no liability of the organizer to pay compensation to the participant.

Safety Measures

It is not allowed to participate by using sports equipment such as race wheelchairs and inline skates. It is obligatory to follow the instructions of the police, road maintenance staff and marshals (fire brigade). Road traffic regulations do apply.
Track attendants will be placed at all important check points. Kilometres will be marked.
The organizer reserves the right to refuse entries for any important reason, to exclude a participant from starting or disqualify him/her. A disqualification might take place especially if the officially allocated number is handed over to third parties, is changed in any way or the logo print has been made invisible or unrecognizable. The same applies in case of fraud or actions which prevent the event from being carried out according to the rules or endanger the safety of other competitors. Disqualified competitors will not be allowed to participate in the following three years.

Accompanying on the Track

Please note that accompanying participants by bike or other equipment leads to the disqualification of the competitor.

Data Collection and Image Processing

The entry will be considered as an acceptance of electronic storing and processing of each participant’s personal data for the carrying out of the event.
With the entry the competitors also agree that photos, shots and interviews made in connection with the participation in the event on the radio, on TV, in print media, books, photomechanical copies (films, videos etc.) as well as the data given with the entry may be spread, made public or otherwise used without claim for remuneration.

Others

The event will take place whatever the weather. We assume no liability for setting or printing errors.
Place of jurisdiction: Voitsberg. The entry will be considered as a confirmation of the correctness of each participant’s data and acceptance of the entry conditions.
